Air Duct Cleaning

Residential and Commercial Air Duct Cleaning
Residential or Commercial... Dirty duct systems are a major source of indoor air pollution. Contaminants will build up inside your duct work over time and make an ideal breeding ground for mold, spores, bacteria, fungus and mildew. Duct systems can also be great collectors of animal dander and hair.
There are two ways to clean ducts and Attentive offers both.
- The Push-Pull Method, is a system of using a forward skipper ball attached to scorpion rods to blow down the registers and dislodge debris and contaminates from inside the ducting. The rods are attached to an air compressor, and a large, powerful vacuum near the furnace catches the debris. Once the supply, return and main lines have been cleaned, we clean the plenum connecting the ducts to the furnace. If the duct work has never been cleaned out before, then we will cut access holes and install cover plates which can be used for every subsequent cleanings. We then finish by using a fogging machine to blow a disinfectant into the lines, killing germs.
- The second method is called Complete Suction Method. In this process, we attach a thirty-five foot hose to a vacuum unit, and feed it down the length of each line, pulling the debris directly into the machine. As in the push-pull process, all return, supply and main lines are thoroughly cleaned out. The plenum and disinfecting process completes the job.
With both our advanced duct cleaning methods, we thoroughly clean the lines without using chemicals, providing a safe, environmentally friendly job. In addition to the obvious health benefits, duct cleaning can help to substantially reduce your heating and cooling costs.
